  I would love to win this event as, to me, it would mean that people are interested in my research. I would spend the prize money on running workshops to tell pupils about the ways in which maths is used in scientific research.

  Winning this competition would give me a satisfaction of communicating my work with a completely new audience in a good way. With the prize money I will be setting up YouTube videos of interesting diy solar cell experiments for school students, like making solar cells from fruit-juice etc. The aim is to improve awareness among school students regarding the increased demand of research required in clean energy technology and to also learn and appreciate solar technology through simple yet effective experiments.
