I would say science is a big part of my life, but I do lots of other things outside of my work. So it is not the most important thing in my life.

Science is an important part of my life, because a lot of how I think about myself (my identity) is tied up with being a scientist. But it’s not the only important part of my life: my family and friends; my music; being creative; and being a traveller are also very important to me. I think you would struggle to find someone who is only one thing if they are being honest with you.

I don’t think its my life. It certainly has been a good job to do, but I do have a lot of other loves in my life.
I also find that science is a way of thinking… and you can never loose that!
