I hope so, but that is for others to judge. I do expert witness work where I can be cross examined by a Barrister regarding my work and results, so I do have a strong incentive to only claim what I know to be right.
I guess yes, because when I present my findings among other scientists, they find it convincing. When I hear others appreciating my work and when my papers get accepted for publication in journals, I feel that I am a good scientist.
This is a hard question to answer. Most work that scientists do is checked by other scientists. So I would say, I hope, I am a good scientist and other people seem to think so!
